The UW Entrepreneurship Association has partnered with the MBA Wine Club for an evening of wine and chocolate with local chocolatier, Nilda Miller of Nilda Chocolates.

Nilda Chocolates opened this past July and has quickly become known as the local chocolate lovers best kept secret. Come talk with Nilda, a former police officer, and find out what inspired her to start making her chocolate creations and hear about the unique challenges she has faced in starting her own business.

The cost for this event is FREE for all MBA Wine Club members and $15 for all non-MBA Wine Club members.

Laura Johnson, Director of Global Business Development for GE Healthcare, has the answers. Learn about an approach to entrepreneurship from the corporate perspective, and what you need to know as a entrepreneur working with the big businesses in this process.

Laura Johnson's bio:

Upon graduation from Bucknell University, BSEE & BA Management, Laura joined the Technical Sales Leadership Program with GE Industrial Systems. Laura held a number of sales & marketing positions prior to joining Healthcare in 2002. Since that time, Laura has completed over 5 transactions including the acquisition of IDX systems for $1.2B. Laura also has a MBA from Columbia Business School, Beta Gamma Sigma honors. Laura and her family live in Pewaukee, WI.
